Printer
Printer is the Destination that prints documents on a printer in your local network.
In Printer connection mode you choose how AIDA reaches the printer:
- Printing via AIDA Link: AIDA Link must be installed on a computer in the printer's local network, with no changes to the firewall
- Direct printing: AIDA sends the documents from the cloud, so the firewall of the local network must allow the traffic on some ports; contact us to find out which ones
Then you can configure:
- Printer address: the local IP address or host name of the printer, followed by the port if it is not the default one
- Printing mode, only with AIDA Link: Socket on port 9100, or EIP for Xerox® ConnectKey® multifunction printers
- Duplex printing and Printer output tray
- Compatibility mode: enable it if the printer reports errors while printing the document
- Cover page configuration: before each document, AIDA prints a cover page with the properties you choose
